Hello, I have recently joined EchoBolt as a Junior Wind Turbine Integrity Engineer after completing my General Engineering degree from the University of Leicester. Before and during university I have always had an interest in the renewable energy sector and how we can improve our energy sector and reduce carbon footprint.
I have been part of EchoBolt for 2 months now and am enjoying the job very much. I have been on two offshore wind farms, one of which being in the Netherlands which was an amazing experience.
During my short time I have already been able to contribue to many different projects, from conducting site inspections, being involved in R&D projects and also to helping in the business management side. This is what is great about working in a small company, I have the ability to get a wide exposure something that other graduate roles struggle to fulfil. I will soon be taking more advanced courses in first aid and rescue to be able to go to Denmark to carry out a 2-week rotation offshore.
